Strange Animal

This is another strange animal that I will never thought it was an animal. It has round shape and looks like a watermelon and when people pass by this animal they will ignore it and say it is just a thing. Well, nothing is impossible in this world. I found this picture on the internet and they claimed it was a strange animal that maybe one or two in this world. Maybe it has the same species as snail, who knows.

Axolotl

The Axolotl (or ajolote) (Ambystoma mexicanum) is the best-known of the Mexican neotenic mole salamanders belonging to the Tiger Salamander complex. Larvae of this species fail to undergo metamorphosis, so the adults remain aquatic and gilled. The species originates from the lake underlying Mexico City. Axolotls are used extensively in scientific research due to their ability to regenerate most body parts, ease of breeding, and large embryos. They are commonly kept as pets in the United States, Great Britain, Australia, Japan (where they are sold under the name Wooper Rooper, and other countries.

Axolotls should not be confused with waterdogs, the larval stage of the closely related Tiger Salamanders (Ambystoma tigrinum and Ambystoma mavortium), which is widespread in much of North America which also occasionally become neotenic, nor with mudpuppies (Necturus spp.), fully aquatic salamanders which are unrelated to the axolotl but which bear a superficial resemblance.

Elephant Shrew

They are widely distributed across the southern part of Africa, and although common nowhere, can be found in almost any type of habitat, from the Namib Desert to boulder-strewn outcrops in South Africa to thick forest.

When I look at this animal, it reminds me of animal that in the movie, Ratatoulle, who knows that this animal can cook!! (joking)

Turtle With Snake Head

This is another weird animal that I have never seen in my entire life. Have you seen a turtle with snake head? Well, if you never see it before, just look at the picture above. The turtle is normal but the only weird thing about it is its head. It has snake head. Anyway, its not fake and its for real. I don't know where you can find this turtle but surely its weird. Okay, I will come up with other weird animals in the world next time.

Pelochelys cantorii (Cantor's giant soft-shelled turtle)

Pelochelys Cantorii, that's the name of this weird animal or you can call it Cantor's giant soft-shelled turtle if its hard for you to remember the name. From its name, we know that it's weird.

Well, the turtle is found primarily in inland, slow-moving fresh water rivers and streams. Cantor's giant soft-shelled turtles can grow up to 6 feet (about 2 meters) in length and weigh more than 100 pounds (about 50 kilograms).

It will be awesome if I see this animal live!!

The White Gorilla

This is a white gorilla or white apes and actually I have never seen this kind of animals. Of course, it's ugly but it's really weird to see this animal.

Emperor Tamarin

The Emperor Tamarin (Saguinus imperator) is a tamarin allegedly named for its similarity with the German emperor Wilhelm II. The name was first intended as a joke, but has become the official scientific name.

This tamarin lives in the southwest Amazon Basin, in east Peru, north Bolivia and in the west Brazilian states of Acre and Amazonas.

The fur of the Emperor Tamarin is predominantly grey colored, with yellowish speckles on its chest. The hands and feet are black and the tail is brown. Outstanding is its long, white mustache, which extends to both sides beyond the shoulders. The animal reaches a length of 24 to 26 cm, plus a 35 cm long tail. It weighs approximately 300 to 400 g.

This primate inhabits tropical rain forests, living deep in the forest and also in open tree-covered areas. It is a diurnal animal, spending the majority of its days in the trees with quick, safe movements and broad jumps among the limbs.

Size

Like their modern relative the elephant, mammoths were quite large; in English the noun "mammoth" has become an adjective meaning "huge" or "massive". The largest known species, Songhua River Mammoth (Mammuthus sungari) , reached heights of at least 5 meters (16 feet) at the shoulder. Mammoths would probably normally weigh in the region of 6 to 8 tonnes, but exceptionally large males may have exceeded 12 tonnes. An 11-foot (3.4 m) long mammoth tusk was discovered north of Lincoln, Illinois in 2005.However, most species of mammoth were only about as large as a modern Asian Elephant. Fossils of species of dwarf mammoth have been found on the Californian Channel Islands (Mammuthus exilis) and the Mediterranean island of Sardinia (Mammuthus lamarmorae). There was also a race of dwarf woolly mammoths on Wrangel Island, north of Siberia, within the Arctic Circle.

Based on studies of their close relatives the modern elephants, mammoths probably had a gestation period of 22 months, resulting in a single calf being born. Their social structure was probably the same as that of African and Asian elephants, with females living in herds headed by a matriarch, whilst bulls lived solitary lives or formed loose groups after sexual maturity.

Mammoth

Mammoth is any species of the extinct genus Mammuthus. These proboscideans are members of Elephantidae, the family of elephants and mammoths, and close relatives of modern elephants. They were often equipped with long curved tusks and, in northern species, a covering of long hair. They lived from the Pliocene epoch from around 4.8 million to 4,500 years ago. The word mammoth comes from the Russian мамонт mamont, probably in turn from the Vogul.

Actually I never saw this kind of animal and it's really weird because it has long nose and a little bit chubby. I thought it was a baboon but actually it's not. What might it be?

Weird Animals

Actually there are many animal species that we haven't find until now. The animals are actually exist but the thing is there are many of them and it's about time when we are to going to discover these mysterious creatures. But we need to look out fact and fake. Some people might make up stories or discoveries about certain animals that don't exist. We just need to be careful. For example, lochness monster, why until now people still couldn't prove that the animal do exist. Now, we have to consider the fact and fake.

Crocodile Hunter

When talking about crocodile, it just reminds me of our beloved crocodile hunter, the late Steve Irwin, when he was on TV I was eager to see him and what's new, something like that. When he died, he died because of loving animals.

The Story of Crocodiles

It's been a while I didn't update this blog, quite busy with all things that I need to sort of. Recently, there was a news about a man who was eaten by a crocodile in my country and they couldn't find the body until now.

Well, it just reminds me of a myth about this animal. Well, what I heard from my grandparents, crocodiles were from human beings. It was cursed because of unexplained reasons. It was just a myth but could be true as well.

That's why they wouldn't eat human beings because they knew that human beings are part of them too unless if the human beings wanted to eat something and they forgot, then the crocodile will eat that human beings. It is because they see the human beings as an animal (their prey) and they eat them.

After they finished eating, they will regret what they have done..

Unexplained Creatures

When we talk about weird creatures or unexplained creatures, automatically we tend to think creatures that we have never seen it before. In this world, there are a lot of creatures which actually exist but we haven't seen it yet. Some of the creatures we just see it once, then vanish just like that without leaving any prints. In my opinion, the reason that the creatures are not exposing itself is because they never want any people hunt for them. So, its better for them to hide themselves. Lets take an example, Lochness, why until now people still never find any evidence that proves the lochness monster exists. Bigfoot & many other creatures. Sometimes we should ask to ourselves, why we're obsessed with those creatures, we just move on and let it be.

Birds of Paradise

The birds of paradise are members of the family Paradisaeidae of the order Passeriformes. They are found in eastern Indonesia, Torres Strait Islands, Papua New Guinea, and eastern Australia. The members of this family are perhaps best known for the plumage of the males of most species, in particular highly elongated and elaborate feathers extending from the beak, wings or head. Birds of paradise range in size from the King Bird of Paradise at 50 grams (1.8 oz) and 15 cm (6 in) to the Black Sicklebill at 110 cm (43 in) and the Curl-crested Manucode at 430 grams (15.2 oz).

Best known are the members of the genus Paradisaea, including the type species, the Greater Bird of Paradise, Paradisaea apoda. This species was described from specimens brought back to Europe from trading expeditions. These specimens had been prepared by native traders by removing their wings and feet so that they could be used as decorations. This was not known to the explorers and led to the belief that the birds never landed but were kept permanently aloft by their plumes. This is the origin of both the name "birds of paradise" and the specific name apoda — without feet.
